Welcome to the Civil Service Examination Blog

I am Jed Tedor, a Civil Service Professional Passer and a Registered Electrical Engineer. I took the civil service professional eligibility exam when I was 21 years old, in Cagayan de Oro, Region X on a Sunday morning of July 27, 2008. It was a tiring day overall, I got knocked off in the theatre as I watched The Dark Knight, which was showing at that time. The result was released around October of the same year, I nearly forgot about the exam as I thought I had failed it. It was, after all, very very difficult. About 52,000 took and luckily I am one of the 5, 286 who passed it. It was a very a good feeling to have passed a qualifying exam. To what the exam qualifies for, I didn't know. I took the exam as a practice exam for my upcoming electrical board exam, which I took a year after.

ABOUT THIS BLOG: This Blog post will tackle about the exam process, i'll post my certificate and sample pictures here, I'll post the results and exam schedule. It will talk everything you need to know about passing the civil service examination.. Pls. follow me as I will continue on posting as the days go by. I hope this blog helps those who will take the exams for the first time and help realize the past mistakes for those who have failed it.

    Correction: Item 2, Solution 1, Choice 2, instead of "y in equation 1 and 2 is not equal, therefore, choice 2 is the answer," it is "y in equation 1 and 2 IS EQUAL, therefore, choice 2 is the answer."

    +crystal: 80,000 barrels were reduced from 1.7 Million.. 1.7M-80,000 = 1,700,000-80,000 = 1,620,000 or 1.62M.. The problem asked "in millions" that is why the answer is 1.62

    I'm really thankful that I found this blog a day before the exam last October. This is the only reviewer that I read and I'm happy kasi most of the items na lumabas sa actual exam were somewhat kapareha sa mga items dito.       it is 10 pesos for the first 2 hours, meaning, 10 pesos is the minimum as the parking fee upto 2 hours.. if you extend after 2 hours, then you'll have to pay 5 pesos for every hour.. The solution is P10 (minimum, upto 2 hours) + (additional charge per hour)x number of hours = 10+(3x5) = P25

      right the answer is P25...first 2 hours is P10 after 2hours and P5 for each additional hour Q is cost for parking 4 hours and 45 minutes is =10+(3x5)= P25:)

    hello jed. i am helping colleagues prepare for their exams slated may 2012 and since i gave away my reviewers, this is truly helpful. i took the exam in july 2010 (CSE-CAT version). for those taking the computer-assisted exam, try to prepare by taking online IQ exams just to prep yourself of the mode of examination. i think the CAT becomes slightly difficult only because you are facing the computer and is given just one sheet of paper to solve the problems. i recall that the exam was mostly on Mathematics and English with 20 questions on the constitution (last part).

    The exam consists of 170 questions (if i remember correctly, it is broken down into 30 Qs personal information, 60 Qs mathematics under various tests, 60 Qs english under various tests, 20 Qs on the Constitution). One needs to incur a rating of 80% to pass the CSE. Roughly that translates to 34 permissible mistakes.

    this is really helpful...if u can answer the questions here, u have 60% chance of passing the exam...the other % will be prayers and review other material...i passed the october csc exam..tnx..;)

    sir jed ask ko lang po sa examinee's descreptive questionnare sa items 19 and 20 need po ba talaga na dalawa yung sagot dito?kasi confuse talaga ako kung mag ans. ako sa items num. 19 sagutin din ba ung num.20?hope you reply thanx.

    1 and 1/4 dozen ream equals 12 reams (1 dozen) and 3 reams (1/4 dozen). A total of 15 reams which was used for printing. 36-15 = 21

    ga tutor ako, then since malayo po kayo, order u na lang manual ko. ako mismo gumawa ng manual,ang title nya is

    taglish or tagalog english ang mga nakasulat na technique at mga sekreto ng exam para madali maintindihan
