Welcome to the Civil Service Examination Blog

I am Jed Tedor, a Civil Service Professional Passer and a Registered Electrical Engineer. I took the civil service professional eligibility exam when I was 21 years old, in Cagayan de Oro, Region X on a Sunday morning of July 27, 2008. It was a tiring day overall, I got knocked off in the theatre as I watched The Dark Knight, which was showing at that time. The result was released around October of the same year, I nearly forgot about the exam as I thought I had failed it. It was, after all, very very difficult. About 52,000 took and luckily I am one of the 5, 286 who passed it. It was a very a good feeling to have passed a qualifying exam. To what the exam qualifies for, I didn't know. I took the exam as a practice exam for my upcoming electrical board exam, which I took a year after.

The Schedule

Let us focus on the 1st exam. The first scheduled exam for 2011 is May 22, Sunday, about 2.5 months from today. Let us evaluate ourselves:

Am I ready to take the May 22 exam?

"Hmmm.. Where is that reviewer? Let me look at it first." You should scan the reviewer first (It is posted on this blog). Read some random questions. If you think you can do it. Then file for the exam.

"Ahhhmm.. I'm not sure. Let me answer them first." If you are having second thoughts, then answer the reviewer, I would recommend the Math part, answer them slowly. And evaluate yourself base on the score. if you think you can do it, Go for It!!

"Ohh no.. This looks very difficult." or "What the!! I got a really really low score.  Maybe I should take it slowly. I'll file for the next exam (which is October 16). At least I have7 months to prepare. I'll study this reviewer and be good at it."

Date of Filing for the May 22, 2011 Exam is from February 21, 2011 to April 7, 2011. (Acceptance of applications shall be on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis. Applications may no longer be accepted before the deadline if the target number of applicants has already been reached by the CSC Regional/Field Offices.)

I'll find other reviewers for you to answer, 4 hours straight, one week before the exam.
